Ohio Hospital Association
The Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) and its associated research and education foundation have worked for more than a decade to improve patient safety and the quality of hospital care delivered through research and collaborative projects throughout the state. Until recently, their good work was one of the best kept secrets around. While real strides have been made to prevent hospital-based infections and improve treatment protocols for certain heart and stroke conditions, no one outside Ohio's hospital industry knew much about these important improvements. In June, 2009, Kelly Arledge wrote and developed a comprehensive report which describes the work of OHA's Research and Education Foundation and its Quality Institute. The report and corresponding presentation (designed, written and produced by Arledge) has and will continue to be used to build awareness and even help secure additional funding and grants for the Foundation's continuing work.
